A New Challenge
Hello there!
It’s Friday again! And you know what that means, right?
It’s Newsletter day!
This being the first Friday in October, we thought it would be cool to let you in on an open secret.
Our Community is making big moves again.
This time, it’s on LinkedIn.
Before we go into this. Did you get to see the highlights from our Abuja Hangout?
We had a fabulous time painting creative masterpieces, if we say so. You can watch our recap here.
The mentorship session with Adedoyin was also a hit! The feedback has also been heartwarming. Did you miss this one? Look out for the next one!
Now let’s get into our Community’s secret. Don’t tell anyone that we told you but we’re doing a LinkedIn visibility challenge.
Sometimes, posting on LinkedIn is a struggle because we don’t know how to tell our own stories comfortably but what if we had a community backing us up and cheering as we made each post?
That’s what our Lagos and Abuja chapters are doing this month. And the best part? You can join them!
All you have to do is use the relevant hashtags when you post. You can also get prompts in the Lagos and Abuja WhatsApp group chats.
So what’s the point of this? You can make a lot of new and valuable connections by actively sharing your stories and ideas on LinkedIn. Sometimes people don’t know what you can do until you tell them. So you should tell them.
Always remember that PR professionals need PR too.
Let’s meet our community member of the week!
Hello TCA! I’m David Akinfenwa and I’m a Communications & Public Relations Consultant in Lagos, Nigeria.
I enjoy a vibrant night life, exploring different social scenes and events in the evening, which bring energy and excitement to my leisure time.
The Comms Avenue has been impactful by providing opportunities to network and meet other professionals, as well as the various training and events they organise.
My Favourite quote is “Focusing on what you can control and let go of what you can’t. When you direct your energy toward things within your influence, you create positive outcome and reduces unnecessary stress”
You can connect with David here on LinkedIn.
It’s time for Community updates!
