Five Reasons We Love You
A little love from Team TCA, Prompt Engineering at your finger tips and some valuable opportunities for our community.
How are you spending Valentine’s? For some of you, It’s all about your campaigns and for some others, it’s just another day. For us at The Comms Avenue, it’s all about you.
You’re our community
The Comms Avenue started with 50 community members in 2020 and almost five years down the line, we’re almost 1800. This growth over the years has been because of you, our community.
Ever so often, we get messages about how you want to invite others into the community and how you want to be involved with the community… You intentionally contribute to the things we do and even though it’s a lot of hard work, we wouldn’t want to do anything else.
You help point us in unique directions
when we started The Comms Avenue, we didn’t already know where we wanted to go but engaging with our community, pointed us in directions that we never expected.
Building this community has been full of surprises. We’ve learnt so much from professionals doing amazing things and willing to share their work with us. They’ve also shown us what the future of Comms in Africa can look like.
You give us a unique view of Africa
The Comms Avenue is a platform that facilitates pan-African conversation and collaboration but yet again it will not be possible without you our community. We love how we’re able to learn about different cultures and nations in Africa just by interacting with our community.
The Vision for The Comms Avenue is pan-African. It’s not about one country or individual and yet every country and individual represented in the community is part of this vision.
You help other community members
One thing we love about our community is how willing they are to help one another. Sometimes the team does not have answers to certain questions and then a community member steps in to gives answers to those pressing questions.
Some of you also go out of your way to share opportunities in the community. This is the essence of community helping one another to grow and spread impact. You remind us of the beauty of humanity
Beyond our profession, we met beautiful humans through The Comms Avenue. We’ve seen people go the extra mile for the community and it’s very heartwarming to know that these people are part of TCA.
And so we wish you a happy Valentine’s weekend. We see you, you matter to us and as always, we’re rooting for you.
