Here's a little encouragement for difficult days
Have you been keeping up with the news lately?
There’s a lot of change going on in our world. Each day seems to come with something different, and getting caught up in the negativity is very easy. As if this is not enough, these changes sometimes impact your organisation and your job.
We know how frustrating it can be when announcements about big changes come out of the blue. A single message can take your day from 0 to 500 in minutes.
So today, we’d like to encourage you to keep your attention on things that inspire you and spark joy. We know that adapting to change is never easy but you can lighten any burden by going through it with a smile.
Lastly, be flexible and open to the lemons life gives you, it’s easier to make lemonade that way.
Let’s meet our community member of the week!
Hello! I’m Amanda Ofori-Addo. I’m an Academy Content Writer at Hubtel Limited.
I love words, and they love me back!
Writing lets me express myself deeply and thus I consider it as my primary hobby. It normally serves as an expressive outlet for my thoughts and emotions and this includes my prayers. I love it so much that all my close friends normally gift me with journals and planners.
The act of writing anything for me is therapeutic, offering me a space for introspection and self-discovery, while also enabling me to experiment with storytelling and to communicate with others uniquely and profoundly.
My favourite quote is by American Actor and Comedian, Milton Berle, “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”
If you’d like to connect with Amanda, you can do so here.
We also have an amazing resource for this week.
If you enjoy YouTube or learning videos, you’ll love this.
Sola Abulu shares valuable content for Communications professionals on the Sola Abulu and Associates Learning YouTube channel and the latest video is a must-watch.
In the latest video on the channel, she shares the need for assertiveness by Communications professionals. This video will be particularly useful for you if you struggle with influencing decisions in your organisation. You can watch the video here.
